Goofy Guy

This is his evil laugh. He had snuck away Casey's DS, opened it, and turned it on. He was so happy with himself.
His Pee Wee Herman hair.
Stole my Diet Coke and drank a lot of it, because he needs both sugar and caffeine.

Birthday Party

We had Casey's party at Backyard Adventures again. It's a huge showroom with playground equipment, basketball hoops, and lots of room to run inside. Casey had a great time and got lots of great gifts!

Mason stole someone's juice.

Chase, Kristyl's littlest.

Kristyl and her boys, Chase and Ty.

Nicki and Mackenzie.

Chase and Mackenzie.

Seriously. They were having sliding competitions.

Birthday Lunch At Olive Garden

Starkey and I surprised Casey by taking her to lunch at Olive Garden. She loves that restaurant.
Yes, I let Mason eat sugar! I wonder why he is always on the go....

Happy 6th Birthday Casey!

It's so hard to believe that Casey is 6! It feels like yesterday we had her. She is such a smart, sweet, thoughtful, and caring little girl. I have enjoyed every minute with her. She is my best little friend.

American Girl

We had a great time at American Girl in Chicago yesterday. We took the train and the girls were great, considering it was a 14 hour trip! Too bad we all have to clean out our savings. It was worth it!

Look, we found the world's smallest violin!
Madelyn:AKA: Miss Sassy Booty!
The girls each got to sit at the table next to their dolls. They have these special chairs for the dolls, a cup and saucer for the dolls, and each doll got a party hat.

Her "Picnic Lunch." Mini cheeseburger, mini hotdog, and fruit.
Her cake and the staff sang happy birthday to her. I had her convinced they weren't going to sing to her so she was so happy and surprised when they did.
Soo tired! She fell asleep in 2 minutes.

Sick Over Break

Casey always seems to get sick during breaks. At least I don't have to take time off of work to take care of her. This time it was a 103 to 104 degree fever from Saturday until Tuesday. That's 4 straight days on the couch or in bed. Notice I was not allowed to wash her face until Saturday night.

Logan's Hockey Game

Casey and I went to watch Logan play hockey during the first intermission at the Prairie Thunder game on Friday. It was so cute seeing those little boys skate the entire rink! I thought they were going to have to call security on Logan to get him off the ice.
He's number 10.
Casey got her face painted, she loves this!

R.I.P. Belle-Hello Charlie

Turns out that the average life for a hamster in our house is 22 days. So now we have Charlie. Starkey and I like to call him Big Poppa.

Isn't he adorable?!

Seriously...

I don't think that Casey is a genius or anything, but this is what she did at school Tuesday. Being the teacher that I am, I made her show me how to do this. She said, "first you add 7 and 0, that's 7. Then you add 8 plus 1, and thats 9. So the answer is 97." Life goes by too fast!

Casey's Zoo

Casey loves animals. Ever since she was little she loved bugs or anything with legs. We started with a fish. Then we got a crab. When the crab died the genius at the pet store talked me into buying 5 crabs that were just dropped off. I couldn't separate them, right? I hate when DCFS separates brothers and sisters. So now we have 5 crabs. Then we got the hamster.

Our fish: Sam

The crabs: Red=Grandma (it likes to sleep a lot), Pink= Pinkey, Blue=Stinker (it's always moving), Turquoise=Ornery (also a mover), Sage=Charlie.

The hamster: Belle

Sleeping Baby

These are the first pictures of Mason while he is sleeping. I was always afraid to take them because he is such a light sleeper. Last week he had a virus, 104 temperature, and eventually an ear infection. He was on so much Tylenol, he stayed asleep!

Hey Jen, do the pajamas look familiar?!

Casey's Music Program

Casey had a music program on Tuesday the 24th. She was so excited to go. She loves to sing. Thankfully they lined the kids up in order for the shortest to be in front. So my kid was front and center!
